We will send a pre-camp Registration Form in early August, so keep an eye out for communication in your inbox/spam folders. About two weeks before Camp begins, we will send a ~robust~ information packet with tips for getting to Camp, cabin assignments, an itinerary, what to pack, plus details about themes, menu, and available activities.

Location & Time

Camp Sleepaway Camp will take place at Camp Pinnacle - 1 Wolf Lake Dr, Hendersonville, NC 28739.

Food & Bev

All meals will be served buffet-style in the camp dining hall. The camp will not provide food between meals.

We encourage you to bring snacks! Please bring them in an airtight container so they don’t attract critters. 

After our inaugural Camp in 2024, we had a LOT of leftover booze. This year, we’re switching it up. We’ll have lots of hydration for the entire weekend, available in coolers around camp. And for our epic Saturday night, we’ll bring a decent supply of alcoholic beverages like beer and hard seltzers — but bring your own favorites, too! There’s a big fridge in the dance hall.

Not a food or bev, but one important detail: Camp Pinnacle requires cigarette butts to be deposited in designated receptacles. If Camp Pinnacle finds any cigarette butts, etc. then we will lose our security deposit — so please be mindful of that. Reach out if you have concerns or questions!

Lodging

Lodging will be in Camp Pinnacle’s screened-in cabins. Each recently-remodeled cabin can accommodate up to 12 campers in twin size bunk beds. A few cabins are side-by-side, operating more like a 20-person cabin. We won’t be filling camp to capacity, and hope to spread people out in a mindful way. Cabin assignments will be provided, so if there are people you prefer to be bunked with, but it’s not clear in your registration, then please reach out to us at howdy@campsleepaway.camp. 

**Please note that sheets, pillows, and other bedding are not included, so campers can bring whatever they like to make their beds cozy. Bedding is available for rent from Camp Pinnacle if that’s easier. Please indicate in your Registration Form if you intend to rent these items, because we need to collect that cost up front.

The cabins are all conveniently located near shared bathrooms and shower buildings.

Camp Pinnacle occupies 126 acres of majestic forest, creeks, fields, and a large, private 20-acre lake. 

Facilities include: 

• Lake with diving board, inflatable slide, canoes, rowboats, SUPs, and kayaks with life jackets

• Two covered, multi-use lakeside pavilions

• New, huge dining hall

• Fire ring with stadium seating (seats 200), wood provided

• Amphitheater with stage and lake view (seats 150+)

• Two tennis courts

• Trails for biking/mini-BMX

• *WiFi is VERY limited, so plan to be off-the-grid. There is a small town ~5 minute drive down the road if you need to access WiFi or better cell service!
